Kameesh Karim 

  • Class of 2023

Kameesh Karim received his degree in International Relations and Global Studies with a certificate in Security Studies from the University of Texas in Austin in December 2023. He was a Clements Center undergraduate fellow and participated in the London May Term program. During his time at UT-Austin, Kameesh completed a senior honors thesis analyzing China’s foreign policy through the lens of the international relations theory of realism. He was also an Archer Fellow in Fall 2023, interning at the Department of Defense Regional Center Near East South Asia Center for Strategic Studies.

He currently works at the Near East South Asia Center for Strategic Studies, leveraging his strengths in Middle Eastern/South Asian affairs to foster diplomatic and academic engagement with partner nations. Kameesh’s long-term goal is to be a foreign service officer.
