Clements Center Fellows
Fellows are central to how the Clements Center trains the next generation of national security leaders. The Center supports two communities of fellows: professional fellows, who are the scholars and practitioners affiliated with the Center through teaching, research, mentorship, and public engagement, and student fellows, who study history, strategy, and statecraft at The University of Texas at Austin while building careers in scholarship and public service.
Clements Professional Fellows
Clements Professional Fellows are scholars and practitioners affiliated with the Center through teaching, research, mentorship, and public engagement. They include current and former senior government and military leaders, UT Austin faculty, and scholars at institutions across the country. Professional fellows teach and mentor students, participate in the Center's programs, and connect the Center's work to the practice of national security.
Clements Student Fellows
Clements Student Fellows are undergraduates, graduate students, and early-career scholars pursuing the study of history, strategy, and statecraft. Fellowship programs run from the undergraduate level through the postdoctoral year and include programs for active-duty and veteran service members. Student fellows conduct original research, workshop one another's scholarship, and learn directly from the practitioners and scholars the Center brings to campus.
