John Brock

John Brock III is a senior at The University of Texas at Austin, pursuing a quadruple major in Government, Sociology, Plan II Honors, and Strategic and Risk Communication. He has unique insight into diverse interests and perspectives, having lived in three countries and seven states as a military child. As an Undergraduate Fellow at the Clements Center for National Security, John’s research and professional interests focus on the use of autonomous weapons in warfare and South Asian and Middle Eastern affairs. Alongside his coursework, he is conducting research with Sociology Department faculty on college students’ relationship with opioids. John plans to attend law school following graduation and aims to pursue a career in public service.
