Salahuddin Doghri

  • Undergraduate Military Fellow, Gunnery Sergeant, U.S. Marine Corps

Gunnery Sergeant Sal Doghri is a native of Gilbertsville, Pennsylvania. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in November 2011. His primary military occupational specialty is as a Marine Aviation Electrician assigned to Marine Aviation Logistics Squadrons (MALS) in Japan, North Carolina, and California. He also served as an instructor at the Naval Air Technical Training Center (NATTC) aboard Naval Air Station Pensacola, Florida. 

Before attending The University of Texas at Austin, Gunnery Sergeant Doghri served as a Detachment Commander for the U.S. Consulate in Sao Paulo, Brazil. He is currently pursuing a degree in International Relations and Global Studies. He was selected for the Marine Enlisted Commissioning Education Program (MECEP) and will become a Marine Officer in 2027. 

Gunnery Sergeant Doghri lives in Buda, Texas, with his wife Angie. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling with his wife, camping, participating in martial arts, and other outdoor activities.
