Emma Rush
Emma is the Executive Assistant for Faculty Affairs at the Clements Center for National Security at The University of Texas at Austin. Emma is responsible for assisting the Associate Director of Academic Affairs with all faculty related administrative processes including hiring, onboarding, allocation and tracking of research funds, and event and travel coordination.
Prior to holding this position Emma worked for lululemon as a high-volume retail store manager, where she managed over 40 employees and was responsible for business operations, product management, and community outreach for a $10 million dollar location.
Emma also served nine years in the United States Air Force as an AC-130H pilot, accumulating over 1,300 flight hours and two deployments in support of operations in Iraq, Syria, and Kuwait. She also served as an Executive Officer to multiple commanding officers in Air Force Special Operations Command.
She earned her bachelor’s degree in business management from the United States Air Force Academy. She also holds a Master of Science in Homeland Security from the University of Management and Technology, and a Master of Science in Sport Psychology from Florida State University.
