Chukwuemeka Ohajionu

Chukwuemeka Ohajionu is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Government at The University of Texas at Austin. His research examines the politics of forced displacement and humanitarian response in conflict settings: where aid organizations (both faith-based and secular) choose to operate, how displaced populations judge their legitimacy, and what those choices mean for stability in insurgency-affected regions. He approaches these questions with field and survey experiments alongside cross-national data. In 2024, he led field experiment teams in Accra and Lagos for a multi-country study of ethnicity, nationality, and prosocial behavior. He is a 2026–27 Early-Career Fellow of the American Political Science Association’s Experimental Research Section. He holds an M.A. in Government from UT Austin, an M.A. in Political Science from the University of Ibadan, and a B.A. in Political Science from Anambra State University, Igbariam.
