Emily Nejad

Emily Nejad is a senior majoring in Government and History with a minor in International Business. On campus, she currently serves as president of TEDxUTAustin. She is also involved with the World Economic Forum’s Austin Hub of Global Shapers and the Strauss Center’s Cyber Clinic. Her professional experience includes internships at the Strobe Talbott Center of the Brookings Institution, the Office of State Senator César Blanco, and the Civil Rights Division of the Bexar County District Attorney’s Office. She also spent a summer studying European politics and security in Hungary, was a spring 2025 Archer fellow, and participated in the Texas Intelligence Academy. In her free time, she enjoys going to concerts, hiking, and reading.
