Eliza Avramova
Eliza Avramova is a rising senior, double majoring in International Relations and Global Studies and Government, focusing on security issues in Russia and Eastern Europe. She is also minoring in History and Russian, East European, and Eurasian Studies. Originally from Budapest, Hungary, she now resides in Austin, Texas. Her academic interests include geopolitical strategy, Eastern European security policy, and disinformation in modern conflicts. On campus, she is actively involved in Texas Political Consulting and Phi Gamma Nu Business Fraternity. Outside class, she works as a debate consultant, helping students improve their argumentation and public speaking skills. This summer, she served as a research assistant and participated in the London Maymester through the Clements Center for National Security, further fueling her interest in security studies. Inspired by her father, a university faculty member passionate about international affairs, Eliza was motivated to pursue this career. In her free time, she enjoys fencing, traveling, and spending time with friends and her sister. She is excited and honored to join this year’s cohort and looks forward to exploring global security, disinformation, and regional dynamics.
