Dean Mare

Dean Mare is a rising junior majoring in Government and pursuing a certificate in Security Studies at The University of Texas at Austin. A U.S. Army veteran, Dean developed a passion for national security through his military service and subsequent work in public policy. He has served in the Texas House of Representatives and previously interned with the UT System Office of Governmental Relations, where he advocated for higher education at the state and federal levels. On campus, he is a member of Student Government’s Governmental Relations Agency and participated in the Texas Legislative Internship Program. His academic interests include U.S. foreign policy, intelligence, and border security.
