Jennifer Carter

Jennifer Carter is the Assistant Director at the Clements Center for National Security. In this role, she serves as the assistant to the Executive Director and manages the finances and human resources for the center. Jennifer brings over a decade of experience in federal and state government, campaigns, and non-profit organizations. She started her career in Texas politics working for Texas Lt. Governor David Dewhurst on his finance team, the Texas Inaugural Committee, and served as scheduler for Texas Governor Rick Perry. Most recently, Jennifer served as the Vice President of Talent and Culture at the Texas Public Policy Foundation. She is honored to work for the University of Texas-Austin as a fifth generation Austinite. Jennifer graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Rhodes College in Memphis, TN.
