The Clements Center and the School of Journalism are honored to host Philip Seib, Professor of Public Diplomacy, Journalism, and International Relations at the University of Southern California, on Thursday, March 2nd, at 12:15pm at the Texas Union’s Eastwoods Room (UNB 2.102). Prof. Seib will be speaking on “Hashtag Diplomacy: Foreign Policy in the New Media Era” drawn from his recent book The Future of Diplomacy (Polity 2016). This event is free and open to the public.

The Intelligence Studies Project, Robert Strauss Center, and Clements Center, in partnership with the Lyndon B. Johnson Presidential Library, will welcome David Priess on Thursday, February 16, 2017. Dr. Priess will deliver a public talk in the LBJ Library Atrium (10th Floor) at 12:15 pm about his recent book publication, The President’s Book of Secrets: The Untold Story of Intelligence Briefings to America’s Presidents from Kennedy to Obama. Internship Information Session

On January 25th, the Clements Center will host an Internship Information Session at the Texas Governor’s Room (UNB 3.116) from 12-1pm. Clements Center staff will be on hand to provide tips and strategies for applying to summer internships in the fields of national security, foreign policy, and intelligence. Fellow UT students will also talk about their experiences with the application process, internship programs, and financial resources. A light lunch will be provided.
