David Tsui

David is a rising fourth-year International Relations and Global Studies major at UT Austin with concentrations in East Asia and International Political Economy. He is also pursuing minors in Chinese, National Security, and International Business. His academic and professional interests center on U.S.-Sino relations, public policy, and the intersection of global markets and geopolitics.

In Summer 2025, David interned with Guidehouse as a State and Local Government Consulting Intern, where he gained hands-on experience at the intersection of the public and private sectors, supporting government clients through policy research, data analysis, and strategic recommendations.

On campus, he helped found Texas Political Consulting, the university’s flagship pro-bono student political consulting organization, and has worked with several local campaigns and nonprofits since. He has also conducted research for Project Mizaru with the Global Disinformation Lab, analyzing the spread of climate-related misinformation globally. Additionally, he is an active member of Phi Chi Theta Business Fraternity and Young Professionals in Foreign Policy.

Outside of the classroom, David enjoys Austin’s live music scene, solo traveling, and hiking local trails.
