1999 Bonfire Unity Scholarship Recipient Spotlight: Aarushi Garg

We’re thrilled to celebrate Aarushi Garg, our research fellow, for being awarded this year’s Bonfire Scholarship! Established in 2000, the scholarship honors Longhorns who stood united with Aggies after the tragic 1999 bonfire collapse. Aarushi is being recognized for her leadership, her work in international and global affairs on campus, and her research and fellowships through the Clements Center and the Texas Cybersecurity Clinic at the Strauss Center.

Her achievement has been highlighted across multiple outlets. KXAN shared her experience attending the MSC Student Conference on National Affairs at Texas A&M, where she connected with Aggie peers through collaboration and shared goals (read more). We’re proud to see Aarushi’s hard work recognized in such a meaningful way and it’s exciting to see the Clements Center mentioned alongside her accomplishments. Congratulations, Aarushi!
