Samantha Tanner

Samantha Tanner is a rising senior majoring in International Relations and Global Studies with minors in Arabic and Business. She specializes in International Security with a Middle Eastern regional focus and has spent the last semester studying abroad in Istanbul, Turkiye where she has been able to apply and advance her interest in the region. This summer, Samantha interned at the Center for Democracy and Technology, one of the leading organizations advocating for civil rights in technology, where she worked across the organization to advocate for digital rights. In the future, she hopes to combine her background in international security with her interest in technology policy and continue to advance civil rights from both an international and technological perspective. In her free time, Samantha loves to read, bake, and go on walks in Pease Park.
