Mia Weissbluth

Mia Weissbluth is a senior from Chicago studying Middle Eastern Studies and Government with a minor in Arabic. On campus, Mia is involved with Central Texas Model United Nations, an organization that facilitates Model UN conferences for high school students, and she has directed several crisis committees. In pursuit of fluency in Arabic, Mia is a scholar in the Arabic Flagship Program (AFP), as well as AFP’s alumni connect intern. Mia’s interest in international affairs began in her high school Arabic class, peaking her passion for studying Middle Eastern affairs. Between high school and college, Mia attended KIVUNIM, a gap year program in Jerusalem focused on studying Hebrew, Arabic, and the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict. After her experience in Jerusalem and as an Embodying Peace Fellow, exploring people-to-people peacebuilding, Mia hopes to work in conflict transformation in the Middle East. In her free time, Mia enjoys listening to music, cooking, and nature in Austin.
