Mara Sherry is the Assistant Events Coordinator for the Clements Center for National Security and the Asia Policy Program, a joint initiative of the Clements and Strauss Center. She also supports student programming at the Clements Center. Mara received her degree in International Relations and Global Studies with a minor in Government from the University of Texas at Austin in May 2023. During her time at UT, she participated in the Bill Archer Fellowship Program and was an undergraduate fellow at the Clements Center, where she took part in our London Maymester. Mara completed internships with the U.S. Department of State, the Texas House of Representatives, the Department of Family and Protective Services, and served as a Research Assistant in the Department of Sociology. Her interests include human rights, international religious freedom, and the role of civil society in democratic movements.
