Jacob Cosgrove

Jake Cosgrove is a rising senior here at the Forty Acres, where he is double majoring in International Relations and Global Studies & Middle Eastern Studies, with a focus on national security. Jake is Undergraduate Senior Fellow at the Clements Center, and quite proud of it. His academic interests include exploring the history of the modern Middle East, with a focus on US foreign policy in the region since the Second World War. Jake is a former Brumley Undergraduate Scholar with the Strauss Center, where he researched education reform in the Gaza Strip, and broadly how educational aid may mitigate violence in failing states. Jake has recently finished his Middle Eastern Studies capstone project, entitled Winds Blow East: Erdogan’s Quest for Regional Hegemony which detailed Turkish foreign policy during the Erdogan years.
