Daniel Samet

Daniel J. Samet is a third-year Ph.D. student in the Department of History. He researches U.S. foreign relations with a focus on Middle East policy during the Cold War. Daniel previously worked for Senator Tom Cotton, the Atlantic Council, and the National Endowment for Democracy and is currently a Rumsfeld Foundation Graduate Fellow. His writing has appeared in the Wall Street Journal, Commentary, National Review Online, and Foreign Policy, among others. Daniel earned a B.A. magna cum laude from Davidson College, where he was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa and competed in cross country and track, and an M.A. from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He speaks French and some Hebrew and Arabic.
