John Gleb is a second-year graduate student in the Department of History at the University of Texas at Austin. A specialist in the study of modern European and American international relations, he is currently interested in the emergence of the transatlantic partnership and in the social, cultural, and intellectual history of the professional foreign service. John received his BA at the University of California-Berkeley, from which he graduated with High Honors and Highest Distinction in 2016. Last year, he participated in the TAPIF program, serving as an English-language teaching assistant in Dijon, France. He speaks French and is developing a reading proficiency in German.
