Student Spotlight: Jared LeBrun interns at the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Energy Resources, Office of Energy Programs

The Clements Center's Student Professional Development Fund provides UT undergraduate and graduate students the opportunity to intern at some of the top governmental and non-governmental organizations across the world by providing monetary support for unpaid positions.

Jared LeBrun is a rising senior pursuing a B.A. in Economics, History, and Plan II Honors. This summer, Jared is interning at the U.S. Department of State within the Bureau of Energy Resources, Office of Energy Programs. There, Jared assists with managing energy foreign assistance programs and focuses on  increasing electricity access and strengthening the energy sector good governance abroad.  Jared was also named an Annenberg International Affairs Fellow at the Council of American Ambassadors, an association of former political ambassadors. As part of the fellowship, Jared receives mentoring from former U.S. ambassadors and takes classes in foreign policy and international economics.
