Looking Back at the Texas Intelligence Academy

Jun 20, 2022

Students visited the National Security Agency headquarters and met with NSA Deputy Director George Barnes and other executives to learn about the NSA’s mission. The group also met with Senate intelligence committee members John Cornyn, Ben Sasse and several other committee staff members in the U.S. Capitol to discuss intelligence oversight issues. The TIA cohort had the opportunity to visit many prominent Washington D.C. landmarks, including the Arlington National Cemetery and the International Spy Museum, and was escorted on a day-long “staff ride” to the Gettysburg National Military Park where they learned how intelligence contributed to battlefield success and failure.

Students interested in applying for the TIA 2023 program can visit the Intelligence Studies Project website.
