Special Issue on Conservative Internationalism

Charles Laderman and others | Jan 02, 2018

The special issue explores how a doctrine of conservative internationalism, distinct from liberal internationalism, emerged in U.S. foreign policy over the past century. Scholars, including former CC Harrington Fellow Charlie Laderman, CC Executive Director Will Inboden, CC Associate Director Paul D. Miller, and former CC Postdoctoral Fellow Ionut Popescu, evaluate the core principles and key figures that have contributed to the history of conservative internationalism and assess the extent to which this philosophy continues to inform US diplomacy today.
