Intelligence Studies Project Director Steve Slick recently reviewed Loch Johnson's "Spy Watching: Intelligence Accountability in the United States" in an article published by Lawfare.

In "Quis Custodiet Ipsos Custodes," Slick describes “Spy Watching” as "a valuable history and comprehensive study of America’s ongoing experiment with democratic oversight of its essential, but imperfect, intelligence enterprise."
