Student Spotlight: Anastasia Bradatan interns with the South Asia Program at the Stimson Center in Washington, DC

Anastasia Bradatan is a rising senior at the University of Texas, triple-majoring in Hindu-Urdu, Spanish-Portuguese, and International Relations.  This summer Anastasia is interning with the South Asia Program at the Stimson Center in Washington DC. Her responsibilities have included editing articles in English and Hindi submitted to South Asia Voices, a leading online policy platform for strategic analysis on South Asia. She is also responsible for promoting the platform on social media. In addition, she is contributing to research on ongoing research projects focused on confidence-building measures between India and Pakistan as well as crisis onset and conflict management in Indian-Pakistan relations. One of the many perks about this internship has been the opportunity to attend both Stimson Center events, such as one on the changes in U.S. policy on UAVs and a Wilson Center event on Counterterrorism in South Asia. Anastasia is also in the Hindi and Urdu book club at the Stimson Center. Outside of work, she has enjoyed exploring new places such as the Wharf and Navy Yard.
