Executive Director Will Inboden discusses reports that North Korea continues to invest in weapons program

Jul 03, 2018

In an interview with the Texas Standard, Clements Center Executive Director Will Inboden says those who are familiar with North Korea's history are not surprised by these latest revelations.

Inboden points to North Korea's history to show that these recent actions are consistent with their behavior. North Korea has advanced much further in their weapons of mass destruction and missile program than previously known, the regime believes these weapons are essential for their survival, and they are willing to consistently lie and cheat on their agreements.  “I hope it’s a reality check for the Trump administration that they’ve got a more difficult task ahead of them than the happy talk,” Inboden says.
