Russia's Military Posture

ISP alumna Catherine Harris writes for the Institute for the Study of War on Russia's military posture and U.S. policy prescriptions.

In the report, Harris and co-author Frederick Kagan argue that the US "should re-evaluate the most likely Russian courses of action and reconsider the mix of military and non-military tools required to defend NATO allies and Ukraine from potential Russian aggression." They highlight continued Russian military build up on the Ukrainian border, as opposed to Russia's border with the Baltic states.
