Jodi Rosenstein

Jodi Rosenstein is a PhD student in Public Policy at the University of Texas LBJ School of Public Affairs.  She served with USAID in Afghanistan from 2008-2013, most recently as USAID’s Stabilization Development Advisor at the headquarters of the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) Regional Command-East. There, she managed the $177 million “Stability in Key Areas” program and served as Transition Coordinator, leading the planning of development programming for the eastern region as ISAF began to draw down its presence.  Jodi previously served with USAID in Afghanistan as Senior Development Advisor in Nangarhar province and as Field Program Officer in Laghman province.

Prior, Jodi served as Public Information Officer and Research Associate at the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre, in Accra, Ghana, focusing on operational-level peacekeeping. She also served as an election observer in Ukraine in 2007 and in Senegal in 2002. 

Jodi holds a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service degree in International Politics from Georgetown University and a Master of Science degree in International Relations from the London School of Economics.  She is the recipient of the the Department of the Army Outstanding Civilian Service Medal; the Department of the Army Superior Civilian Service Award with Three Bronze Oak Leaf Clusters; a Superior Honor Award from USAID; the Joint Chiefs of Staff Joint Civilian Service Commendation Award; Meritorious Honor Awards from the Department of State and USAID; and the Department of the Army’s Commander’s Award for Civilian Service.
