After working for ten years in investment banking with The Principal Financial Group/Eppler, Guerin & Turner, Inc., Bonnie Smith has spent most of her married life with Peter Smith involved in volunteer community work in Dallas while raising five children. Presently, she is involved with many activities associated with UT Southwestern, including the Campaign for the Brain Steering Committee for the Peter O’Donnell Brain Institute at UTSW, the Southwestern Medical Foundation Board, and other Friends’ groups and Advisory boards.  She also is a member of the We Believe Campaign Cabinet at St. Philip’s School & Community Center, where she contributed twelve years as a member of its Board of Trustees.

She graduated from Stanford University with a bachelor’s degree in American Studies and has continued to contribute at Stanford through volunteering on Reunion Campaign committees and membership on its Parents’ Advisory Board.  She received an MBA from The University of Texas Graduate School of Business.
