Sep 12, 2019
The panel was moderated by J. Paul Pope, Senior Fellow at the Intelligence Studies Project. The panel discussed where we are 18 years after 9/11, what challenges America faces today, and what security strategies are currently in place and whether or not they have worked. “Counterterrorism Since 9/11” is available to download as a podcast or view online. Following the panel discussion, Farah Pandith signed copies of her recently released book, “How We Win: How Cutting-Edge Entrepreneurs, Political Visionaries, Enlightened Business Leaders, and Social Media Mavens Can Defeat the Extremist Threat.”
In conjunction with the panel, the Clements Center, Strauss Center, Intelligence Studies Project and the LBJ School for Public Affairs hosted recruiting officials from U.S. military, intelligence, and national security departments and agencies for our first ever National Security Career Fair. Over 200 students met with representatives from the CIA, FBI, DIA, NGA, DHS, NCTC, the State Department, Army Futures Command, U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM), UT Army ROTC, Texas Army National Guard, and National Ground Intelligence Center.
