Undergraduate Fellows Program

The Clements Center for History, Strategy and Statecraft seeks applications for its Undergraduate Fellows Program. Applicants from all UT-Austin undergraduate disciplines whose coursework bears directly on American foreign policy, military and diplomatic history, or international security are welcome to apply.

Fellows will convene twice a month throughout the 2014-15 academic year to participate in discussion groups, meet with distinguished guests and visiting speakers, and exchange ideas on their course projects. These will be conducted during lunches or dinners provided by the Center and will sometimes include outside activities such as viewings of national security films or other related media. There will be at least one field tour of a nearby historic site related to diplomatic and military history. Fellows will contribute to the mission of the Clements Center by participating in events and conducting research for the Clements Center news releases and website. Fellows will also enjoy invitations to lectures, conferences, and other events sponsored by the Center and be eligible for funding to cover the costs connected to their undergraduate research.

Please submit a resume, a brief personal statement (500-750 words) describing your experiences and how they fit with the mission of the Clements Center, and contact details for three references by Tuesday, April 22nd at 5:00pm

Please direct questions about these programs to the Clements Center’s Program Manager Jacqueline Chandler at [email protected]
