Stephen Brooks is an Associate Professor of Government at Dartmouth College. William Wohlforth is the Daniel Webster Professor of Government at Dartmouth College. Both are co-authors of America Abroad: The United States’ Global Role in the 21st Century (Oxford University Press, 2016), as well as World Out of Balance: International Relations and the Challenge of American Primacy (Princeton University Press, 2008) and numerous articles in a variety of academic journals include Foreign Affairs and International Security.
