Teaching
- Faculty leadership and affiliates teach graduate and undergraduate courses such as ““Nature of the International System,” “Strategy and Decision-Making in Global Policy,” and “Intelligence and National Security.”
- The Clements Summer Seminar in History and Statecraft brings together graduate students from leading universities to explore the connections between statecraft and history. Sessions are also devoted to professional development for academic and policy careers.
- The Undergraduate Fellows Program supports students interested in national security careers through reading groups, meetings with distinguished scholars and policy leaders, and professional mentorship.
- Internships are a key component of education and professional development. The Clements Center’s Summer Student Development Fund supports students who have secured unpaid internships in fields related to defense and foreign policy as they launch careers in national security.
- In partnership with the world-renowned War Studies Department at King’s College London, the Maymester in History, Strategy, and Statecraft provides exemplary students the opportunity to learn firsthand about the Anglo-American tradition of history and strategic studies. The program also includes visits to historic battlefields and other important landmarks in Anglo-American strategic history.
